Not only have I just got back from Vegas today, I've been trying to follow both the election and the stock market. The market TANKED today, hardcore (yeah, so it came back, but that 1000 points was a bit nerverwracking). Looks like the Tories are going to win?

However, on a plus note, I was down to $13 out of what I was spending before we left this morning, 5 minutes before we had to grab a cab, I hit a Royal Flush on poker and won $125 on a .25c bet. Win! (Still $100 down overall, but still).

Hope the Tory thing works out for the UK, and I hope they do something regarding the Greek economy which is driving the markets down! Grrrr!

That you were playing three card poker or some derivative?

Personally, I prefer blackjack. It has a much smaller house edge so if you do a bit of sneaky mathematics you might not end up ahead for the night, but you won't lose either.

Having said that, I was playing in a poker tournament a little while ago (was chip leader at one point but finished just outside the money, argh) when I saw someone put a massive ante on his first bet and hit a straight flush for over £700...
