the Bf has let me down again. Anyone want to cook supper for me tonight as I have nothing defrosted. Or shall I just go and have a few beers?

I'm frying up some wood smoked garlic cloves in oil with sun dried tomato and those fish stick things (white with a pink top), then tossing some pasta in it.

Thanks - Can i have mine without the sun dried tomatoes though?

And I don't like tomatoes normally.
Think ofz how chorizo changes when you cook it, it's similar in that respect.
I'm in London, N14, if you ever wanna take me up on that.

I made sweet potato falafel (falafel using sweet potato instead of chickpeas). worked a treat and was fucking delicious

What do you use to counter the sweetness? I'm tnking some pickles and taziki in the flatbread/pita would work.

shove it in the microwave for 8-10 minutes (in the skin) until soft. leave to cool a bit and peel.
mash with about a tsp of ground coriander, 1/2 tsp of ground cumin, loads of crushed garlic, juice of about a quarter of a lemon, 50g of flour and some salt and pepper.
make into 10 balls and bake in the oven for half an hour.
the lemon juice and spices counter the sweetness nicely, but I had it in a pitta with lettuce, red onion and red pepper humous.
pickles and tzasiki would normally be in there, or olives, but I didn't have any.

Do you still get crispy bits from not frying it.

If you grease the baking tray they do crisp up some though
I guess if you make them into flat patties rather than balls you'd get more crispiness where it touches the tray
