It is superbWhilst I like science fiction, I must admit I have limited patience with a lot of it. Leibowitz, I think, is probably one of the most original books that I've read that broadly fall into that genre. There was a sequel, but I've heard it's disappointing.

it's disappointingcompared to the first. But taken alone it is still a genuinely excellent piece of work.
But the first one is really fantastic. I still have my dad's original copy somewhere
