I miss CornwallThe Tate in St Ives is often worth a visit as is the Barbara Hepworth garden nearby if you're into modern art type stuff.
A half day at a surf school looking like a plonker is great exercise.
The national seal sancturary in Helston is kinda cool in a 'lets look at some cute seals for a while' way.
Driving down to the wooded bits of south cornwall and exploring around the little inlets by falmouth in a motor boat is also nice. You can moor up at the Pandora Inn, have a pint and fish for crabs of the end of the jetty...
