That does concern me a bit
I'd need a satellite phone so I could call my dad when it starts taking on water. Last time I went down to see my parents we went out on their narrow boat and Wiggy really enjoyed driving it so hopefully he's developing the sea spirit. They've also got a dutch barge in France but they're selling it which is a real shame, I really wanted to go out on it one last time. They also have a canoe, but it was waterlogged last time I visited so I didn't fancy it. My dad was talking about getting a catamaran and mooring it outside Australia if and when I emigrate.

getting a catamaran near Australia sounds like an awesome plan
some friends of mine down near Plymouth have a cat which I want to go out on. The mrs isn't a sea-goer though, she got a little queasy on the car ferry to the Hebrides and that was almost as flat as it gets...

the friends I mention used to crew one of the boats I linked to earlier for a millionaire banker guy. Based in Antigua, they would bum about for most of the time, and when the banker came out they'd sail him and his family where he wanted to go.

it was pretty good
they went a bit mental though after a while. one of them quite literally, so they came back to blighty and got proper jobs.

they are now married as well which is nice. I feel I should point out that they are a bloke and a girl.

I don't assume all sailors are gay
if that were the case, I probably wouldn't be here.
