I've heard anything from 1 to 3 months salaryas it was, it cost me probably about half of one months, and the ring couldn't be more perfect.

hmmI'd heard the 1-3 months salary thing too, mr vitamin c heard it, went white, vowed to get a job on minimum wage for a month, then calmed down when I pointed out that a) there's no way I'd wear anything that price, and b) it's jewellers propoganda anyway. Mine was about 1/3 of his (take home) salary for a month, and it's just what I wanted.
