I has one
Qype comes in handy when you're looking for stuff in the area (restaurants etc.), though you generally need to read the reviews rather than look at the ratings (fairly good means different things for a bog standard takeaway curry house and a gourmet indian restaurant)

Aldiko lets you read e-books, depends how much you mind squinting at a screen, but can be good for travelling light on train journeys (though that's mainly because I tend to read massive books)

Downloading the latest google stuff (maps etc.) is a must, google navigation comes with the latest version of maps, though not had a chance t try it

Gameswise,
Light racer 3d: Tron lightcycles in 3rd person over the shoulder camera
Project IDF: online top-down shooter, slightly slow paced but good for a quick distraction.
Armageddon Squadron: Motion sensor controlled aerial dogfights

I personally like better keyboard (look around for good skins), but my friends who also have android don't. A barcode reader is a must since it's often easier to browse for apps online then scan the QR code to get to them on your phone (most app reviews will provide the QR (2D bar code))
