I speak as an Italian car owner myself.I bloody love the way they make great art, music and Roman viaducts.
However, electrics seem to baffle them.
[edit] if anything electrical under the bonnet is branded "Magnetti Marelli" then it usually means "will break just outside warranty and will cost a King's ransom to fix".
