the overpayment bit is sensibleI should have been doing it while I had my flat. can't do it now because the mortgage payments on my house are so fucking large.

My finantial advisorgave me very good advice there, and told me to put my monthly payments 100-200£ less than what I could afford, and make overpayments, as they go straight to your capital, you don't pay interest with them, and you reduce your term massively.
