Yes, but that wasn't down to the poetry
I'd already screwed up long before then.
Screwing up gave me stuff to write about - too many emo teenagers write crap and think it's earth-shattering - they need to live a bit before they start writing.
Same applies to prose - unless you've got an amazing imagination - sadly many don't.
