not to be indelicate but...(come closer and i'll whisper)... how long do chickens live, as a rule? would you get another if she went to the big nestbox in the sky?

Not sure, 5 - 8 years is goodbut chickens cark it for lots of different reasons. Not sure if i'll get more.
