Weatherall is a 'mate from the pub' of mine.I once got stinking pissed on Laphroaig with him and we spent the whole night enthusing about rockabilly records. The fellow is a fucking diamond and a walking encyclopedia of music. A less 'up his own arse' chap you would be hard pressed to find, and he's every right to be. And he looks like a WWII RAF pilot these days.
I played a couple of Gene Vincent classics myself last night. His guitar player was fucking incredible.

Weatherall is a wonderful DJOne of my favourites. A raconteur, producer, writer, satirist, sartorial warrior and cultural gem.
I love his 'tache.
