I find the idea of women who go out with men for material gain especially repellent. Good luck to them, but not for me, thanks.

That's a fair point
I've always been suspicious of women like that myself (not that I have any material wealth to interest them). On the other hand, I shall second Lampito's open invitation above to join us for a piss-up round London Bridge of a Friday evening - it's a fairly regular occurence if you ever find yourself at a loose end.
