My area is the best
Because it looks like My Fair Lady or Mary Poppins and sometimes Jack the Ripper.
And we have lots of shops, offies, takeaways, theatres, galleries, restaurants and cathedrals, just in my little neighbourhood.
It's close enought to the city centre to be considered Town, but it is definitely its own little quarter that is 'cool' but not wanky and has loads of diverse cultures and the occasional mental hostel.
I feel safe at all hours even though there's always something a bit odd happening not far away. I know lots of people in the shops and bars, but I don't feel I am too involved in all that community politics bollocks. In short, I feel like I belong here.

What could possibly make me contemplate leaving here, I do not know.

For instance, I pulled a chinese AND a japanese girl near the halls there. Separate occasions, of course.

I love it when one of the muslim neighbours get married
All the birds come out screeching and bashing tambourines and winking at the bride suggestively. Scouse and Islam DO mix after all!

The first time I didn't know what the frig was going on, and a pair of eyes peeping out from a veil yells up in thickest scouse "It's alright luv, she's goin' 'ome with 'er 'usband fer the fiiiirst tiiiime! They're gonna 'ave good night!"

I enjoyed Manchester when I lived there at first.
Lots going on and the diverse cultures but it all got a bit claustraphobic towards the end.

The demographic is cracking here, in a funny way
On my road there seems to be at least two of everything, this includes mentals, gays and disableds, not just races or religions.
The mix stops it getting boring.
