The school I worked for a few years back is a specialist science collegeyet their science staff turn over is massive. All 6 female science teachers went off on maternity over a two year period. One went off twice in three years. They all came back to work just before the summer holidays for a week so they would be paid for the six week break. They all play the system and the only ones that suffer are the kids.
