The reason I manage to maintain a calm, placid demeanour among people I like is because I save the bad-tempered shouting and the violence for colleagues.

She can't - I've converted one of the bedrooms into a 'dog room' with nothing she can chew in it. It's basically a dog bed, some toys and a hard floor, and that's it.

She tends to wait until I'm home and eats my ankles instead though
