Up town being The London yes?
I'm not sure I could hack it for any more than 2 or 3 years, but I'm looking at various options now.

The first one, obviously, is finding a job - but trying to find the right balance between the time and cost of commuting within the City and outskits compared to the increased cost of rent living closer to the centre of commerse is a bit confusing.

Live in the East End: problem solved.
Not terrifying expensive (relatively speaking), not far away from central London either.

I've seen the East End of London on the telly.
Is it as I imagine? The crime rate seems really high.

There is one pub I know of that has seen 3 landlords murdered and a neighbouring pub got burnt down after the landlord raped someone.

Saying that, if I avoid Albert Square, it might not be that bad, and James Wilmot Brown hasn't been seen in anything for donkeys years.
