I often do work trials when I interview, sometimes paid, sometimes not.Tell yourself you're the best candidate for the job if you really want it. If the other candidates are there with you, there are ways of showing them up subtly by being the first to offer to make coffee for everyone, tripping them up or putting ebola in their food so they don't show up after lunch.
