So apparently I have a job trial tomorrow.
My friend set it up for me. I am so nervous I am feeling sick to the point where I may need to vomit. Any ideas on pre-work trial jitters?

I used to get really nervous before interviews and such like
but at some point in my life I learned that you can only give your best, and if you put in the full commitment with confidence then 99% of the time you'll succeed. Only some tremendously bizarre accident can ruin things.

So just forget about what could go wrong and the consequences of failure and start appreciating that you are good at what you do, and if you smile, put in the effort and act with confidence then you will get the job.

what's the job?
is it an interview or working trial?
(, Sun 15 Aug 2010, 13:46, Reply)
I often do work trials when I interview, sometimes paid, sometimes not.
Tell yourself you're the best candidate for the job if you really want it. If the other candidates are there with you, there are ways of showing them up subtly by being the first to offer to make coffee for everyone, tripping them up or putting ebola in their food so they don't show up after lunch.

ah the old "ebola in the sandwiches" trick
a winner every time.

I'm fond of judicious application of necrotising fasciitis myself

Just apply yourself to it the way you would as if you already had the job.
I'm sure you'll be fine, from your posts it seems you've got a good head on your shoulders. Good luck!
