it lives on the 3rd floor of a house
and frequently gets carried about in the van and to gigs and stuff, and as such is in poor shape. bit cracked, clamps missing etc.

Mine currently lives
In it's cases at the bottom of my bed, and stacked up on some shelves. It occasionally gets set up downstairs while my family are at work, but the living room's acoustics result in incredibly sore ears.

Yeah, I actually decided to get cases
Added a bit to the cost, but keeps them safe. Also means I worry less when transporting them in the car.

I've never seen one, always thought they were kind of a good idea though. No idea how the skins are attached if they're quick and easy to remove.
