I'm trying to get into Curb Your Enthusiasm at the minute, partly because I have series one as a free gift but mostly because so many people bang on about how great it is. As far as I can tell, the programme is, as Amorous Badger would put it, "Man with no personal skills whatsoever annoys people" and isn't as funny as I'd have hoped. But then Larry David is partly responsible for Seinfeld, the most overrated TV programme of all time

So there must be more to it than I'm seeing. But so far it seems to be be cringeworthy comedy, which only very rarely works well

Because of that stupid fat fuck James Corden. Possibly it was funny before his ugly bastard face got everywhere, but if I were to watch it now I'd be too busy screaming abuse and hurling Slimfast at the TV to enjoy it. A bit like that episode of Doctor Who he was in. In which his character claimed to be 27. Twenty-fucking-seven! Younger than me! Either that was was some very unkind scriptwriting or he really is that old but the pies have put ten years on him. Won't lower myself to Wiki him, the repulsive scrotal sack of a globulous cunt.

I tend to know at a glance whether something like that will be unfunny to the point of annoying me
but got coerced into watching it. I sat stony faced for most of an episode then delivered a rant at my brother about how awful it was.

He tried to reason it to be because of the welshness of it and me having lived in Cardiff.

He was wrong. It is just pure shit.

I found the IT Crowd fucking dreadful as well. Not least because of the awful over the top canned laughter.
