By the time the Afghans have PCs and time to play games, the war will be so far in the past that they'll probably laugh at the story and the silly graphs.

Yup, of course they have, but I can pretty much guarntee this game would be banned there too, even if the local population had the means of playing the game.
It was a crime to watch the World Cup outside of the Green Zone, let alone play a game like this.

I agree that he's wrong on this one, but he does have a point.
