No I don't mind current affairs etc but what's the point in talking about it.
Everyone will form an opinion, some will agree with others, some won't and before you know it we will be talking about fucking nonsense again.

Rather than just talking about nonsense from the start of the post?

Personally I don't see the point, I doubt anything anyone says on here will change anyone
elses pre disposed thoughts on the topic and especially when terrorism and religion is involved. There is nothing new to say on the subject. In my opinion.

it's always interesting to get other people's views and have a debate

I partly agree
I just think there are some subjects that just cause more bother than they're worth. Terrorism being one of them especially if religion is involved. It attracts to many people who want to play Devils advocate or just be controversial and causes silly arguments.

it's called conversation
Chompy likes discussing current events, I like discussing hypothetical ones. They each promote interesting discussions and we're both open to each other's ideas. Oh no wait, Chompy always slags mine off.

I just like topics when someone goes
*Rectangles, aren't they brilliant! discuss* makes me happy.

I don't slag your ideas off,
I slag stupid ideas off.
