It's kind of annoying, come to think of it,
to have the confidence now that I really would have made better use of when I was single, but of course didn't have then.

Because the last time I asked someone out
it went terribly. Shamefully badly, and it did rather knock my confidence.

And the worst that could happen is I lose someone who I reckon could be a rather good friend in time
