By 'more exciting' she means 'go into one of dem Spanish bars to watch the footy', and 'maybe 'ave a donkey ride while wearing a sombrero and drinkin' Corona and Tequila'.

I'm being massively nasty about her and despoiling her good(?) character. I'm sure she knows the difference between Spain and Mexico.
