Challenge that answers you get.
Acknowledge that someone else might have more experience, but try and get some specifics.

If it means you doing some unpaid work in a certain environment in exchange for 'experience' at a particular company, it might be worth taking it, just to have it on you C.V - even if it is 'making the tea' and 'doing the bins'.

Really push for the info though.

I have a wide range of stuff on my CV
But that didn't help. And it took 2 weeks for them to get back to me.
