Roast pork is a winner - I've found it quite difficult to make a gravy that goes well with pork - made a couple of cider ones that were ok not as good as I would have liked.
I did all the cooking at the weekend, did a chicken, mushroom and cider casserole on Sat.
Not many weeks left to bbq this year

getting some sage in their helps
aside from meat juices and vegetable water last night, I think the gravy had sage, white wine and chicken stock added.
was very nice indeed.

I make a beer, thyme & honey gravy to have with pheasant which I think I am addicted to.

I was told yesterday grouse is available now, partridge in a week or so and pheasant mid October.
