Just get an iPod classicThey have ridiculously large hard drives. The problem with older iPods is the battery starts losing charge after a year or two of heavy use.

Possiblybut the only time I use mine without having it hooked up to the car is on long or medium haul flights. And I don't do them more than once or twice a year.

YepI have an old v2 iPod (first Windows compatible, 10GB, black and white screen) that still works fine, but loses charge after an hour.
