I know nothingbut maybe compartmentalise your harddrive so half of it has internet access and the other doesn't. Is that possible?

Not really possibleIf a hacker were to get access to your computer (and by that I mean install stuff on there, which is how they operate) then they would have access to anything on the whole system.
