Ha!
No, I live in Ireland, so when I say fantastic it's relative. Saturday wasn't stellar but morning was good and the rain kept off. Today was just brilliant though, really bright and crisp, the kind of day I really look forward to in Autumn.

I love those days
I take a lot of my holidays in autumn, just to enjoy the crispness.

Ten days off coming up and I can't wait.

Where are you in Ireland?
It's a while since I've been over but I used to spend a lot of time there.

Dublin
Where have you visited?

Where do you want to know?
Travelled a lot on CIE/IR. Maybe I should whisper this but I'm a bit of a train travel enthusiast. So I've ridden on all the lines in Ireland.

Right
so you've almost certainly seen more of the country than I have. Good way to see a country though, except you probably didn't make it to the North West did you?
(, Sun 26 Sep 2010, 20:56, Reply)
Sligo?
That's a bit North West.

And my little hobby has taken me to LA, and Detroit, but Sligo was the scariest...

Sligo!
You didn't fall foul of the Tubbercurry youth mafia did you?
(, Sun 26 Sep 2010, 21:19, Reply)
We got into a pub that didn't like us
I've taken photos of the old railway depot in Watts, not long after the Rodney King business.

Sligo, seriously, is the scariest place I've ever been.

Oh excellent,
the good side.

Are you the only genuine newbie in a while?
(, Sun 26 Sep 2010, 21:01, Reply)
You talkin' to me?
I'm no newbie...

If you're talking to Zozimus - he/she/it is a newbie but he/she/it seems sound.

Voted in by the very Ol' Skool although he/she/it could be Workboresme/Edmund/Bert.

But I don't think so.

Noo, I was attempting to reply to Zozimus.
He/she/it does seem perfectly sound.

Thank you for the vote of confidence
and belated happy birthday to you.

I was accused of being Bert at first but BobbyPires and I are cool now.

Yes, yes we are.

Do we have the authority to do this?
Does the Scouse lass not have to vet all newcomers like Ellis Island, to ensure that they're not someone she doesn't like?

I know
Roota has yet to say yay or nay. Ages ago she mentioned something to the effect that judgment was pending but I haven't heard anything since. Maybe she's biding her time, waiting for cracks to appear.

Who are these people?

(, Sun 26 Sep 2010, 21:25, Reply)
Hello Mr Alexander
Maimed any hands recently?
(, Sun 26 Sep 2010, 21:28, Reply)
My hand maiming days are over.
Mainly because I sprained both of my wrists somewhat horribly giving Big Eric and his cellmate a 'downhill racer' during my spell inside at the taxpayer's expense. I still haven't recovered; the ganglions are horendous so I've called a halt to all medical practitionary for now.
