When I lived in Blackburnbefore I moved out I had to get the bath replaced and I had to ring local companies to get quotes. Because I pronounce it 'barth', every single person on the other end of the phone would say "you want a what?" until I put on a shitty Lancashire accent and said it their way. It made me wonder if they can't understand the news because the newsreader doesn't have a northern accent. Who am I kidding, they don't watch the news.
