I think it's good they get rid of the child benefit
for high incomes, but per house, not per person. A single person will spend more money on the kids, as he/she will need to pay for care a lot more than a couple.

That'll cost hundreds of millions of pounds to monitor
which is basically a waste for the tiny percentage it'll affect.

It couldn't be all good that we pay taxes straight away from our salaries every month. In Spain you pay taxes per house, at the end of the year, which has a lot of bad things, but at least you can tell how much each house has.

However, if the father or mother is single or widow, then that should be taken into account, and it's quite easy to monitor.

It's stupid.
I earn way over 45k and while I don't like losing child benefit, I can see the logic to us paying more.

It should be done per household though - not per single person's incom.

There should be a combined threshold of whatever to make it fair.
