How long was the party?5 hours of God already sounds like you've done your bit.
Was there any chanting before the food?

Not to long, I left early with an elderly great-aunt " 'cus she doesn't know the way home from here", bailed at 10ish and got there at 7ish.The food was edible but not very nice, smoked salmon starter (borring), veg lasagnia mains (with next-to-no pasta and no tomarto-based sauce), followed by a new york cheesecake which was actually quite nice.
No chanting, plenty of "I LOVE YOU [people from JLS]", a photographer who wouldn't suprise me if he keeps some of the photos of 12 year olds for "personal use", and some kid who clearly really fancies the batmizah girl and has been knocked back time and time again.
