When the BNP membership list was leaked online a couple of years ago
I managed to find a copy online & did some basic look-up's based on postcode. A couple of my neighbours were members - one of whom is a teacher - I was very tempted to contact the local press or the school, but then realised nothing could be done as it is a legal "political party"

I know someone who is a paid up member of many poltical parties
for the sole reason that it gives him a vote on party decisions, leadership battles etc. He feels it better to be able to attempt to change the policies a party he disagrees with has than to vocally slag them off. He was on the BNP list and he's never voted for them and never would.
