Calpol is still far superior.

And it makes you hallucinate!
Man, I've not had any in years.
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 17:14, Reply)
I don't recall any Calpol-induced hallucinations
Though it might have explained my peculiarly overactive imagination as a youngster...

It was a Drugs-QOTW-related lie. Entertaining.
Overactive imaginations are more trouble than they're worth, especially with hallucinations. Gave me a right fear of wardrobes they did.

EDIT: Here we are

Deletion is the worst sin.

Even worse than starting a thread and buggering off - which purpledoris seems to have done here.

Tsk. For shame.

My dad started a company taking screen shots for computer game magazines
so we had, variously, Acorn, Dragon, BBC, early IMB-AT PCs, Spectrum 48k, Amstrads, loads of stuff. The mags used to send us tapes and discs of games to play where the programmers had given invulnerability, infinite lives etc so I used to spend hours running around these games while my dad would take screen dumps with custom hardware one of the employees mocked up to the computers. I'm gonna be 35 in a few weeks. Edit: First was a ZX-80 in 1981.

"my dad would take screen dumps"
Could you rephrase that otherwise the internet porn squad (scat division) might be paying your Dad a visit.

I got my first email account in 1994.

Apologies
one side effect of this horrible cold is smoking like a chimney to get my required nicotine hit.Had to get dressed and go to shop as I have no personal slave to do it for me!
(, Wed 20 Oct 2010, 18:25, Reply)
I only remember
having Calpol when I had the 'flu. I had hallucinations then, but I think that was the 'flu, not the Calpol.

Maybe that's just what they want me to think.
