For women, sex after an argument means: "We have sorted our problems talking and now I want to love you and have sex"

For men, sex after an argument means: "I'm still a bit upset with you, but if we have sex now I'll love you again and everything will be fine"

So women understand sex as a reward (for themselves) after sorting a problem, and men think it's the way to sort the problem.
