Sex in my twenties was crap at best, in retrospect. I then married a woman whose libido dropped fast after about six months of marriage, and I did my best to be inventive to try to rekindle the spark- all to no avail, of course. However, it did prepare me well for being single again.

Sex in my forties has been AWESOME. The women are much less inhibited when they get out of the twentysomething headgames phase of life, leading to me experiencing things that you would normally expect only to see in porn clips.

Age has brought me experience and confidence, and let me have the best sex of my life!

I won't go into details, but I do have reason to feel smug.

Being single in your late 30s to early 40s is ACE. You have an established life (hopefully), you have experience in life, and it shows. Cook a good meal for a woman and she's yours. Bring her back to your place and let her see that it's reasonably clean and tidy and that you have actual books on the shelves, and the clothes all but fall off.

Of course, I've now remarried and am off the market, but it was fun playing the field while looking. (And sex in the second marriage is even hotter still.)

Smug doesn't even begin to cover it.
