I had hair to my shoulders from 17-21 years old.If I didn't wear it up it exploded into a fluffy wavy afro, and the pony-tail used to hang in a couple of thick ringlets. I was a massively sexy teenager.

Mine used to be straightthen I went really short, and it grew back curly.
