My weekend was without note
Hooked up an old Marantz amplifier to my TV as one of the speakers was borked. Luckily the amp and the 2 speakers fitted exactly on the shelf under the telly, and I mean exactly. Subsequently it sounds great. Watched Shutter Island, which was nicely produced, but copped out with the ambigious ending. Then watched [REC], which was frankly terrible, no idea why it had such a reputation for being 'genuinely scary', genuinely fucking pish and hackneyed more like it. Blair Witch meets (insert any modern zombie film), but with incredibly annoying camera work and a lead actress you hoped would die first.

If you like gore and zombies then The Hoard is quite good.
It's French and quite gritty.

I think I will watch 'The Grey Zone' this evening
A disturbing film about Auschwitz, told from the point of view of the Jews forced to help in the genocide.

Should be laugh a minute!
