haha I only heard it said
but yeah I reckon that's the one. They're really good, definitely thinking of applying and keeping my options open
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 22:46, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
apply everywhere
there's so much competition, but oxford will make sure you get an interview at 99% of them! plus we're even better than macfarlanes...
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 22:51, Reply)
Yeah
I'm looking at application forms and just thinking I'm way under qualified :(
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 22:54, Reply)
no you won't be
my current trainee has:

a-levels, 2:1 in english, then law conversion stuff, then straight into us.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:07, Reply)
But you whinge about your trainee.
And all the stupid questions.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:08, Reply)
yeah but it's mostly hyperbole
he will be a very good lawyer. he just asks some dim questions sometimes, but never about the law, just about things like the photcopier.

How was ANTM? Anything good happen?
Also, are you any closer to finding the office thief?
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:25, Reply)
I bet he had loads of extra curriculars though

(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:15, Reply)
not really!
just brains.

that and the ability to charm clients. i have the latter, rather than the former.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:21, Reply)
I've been told I'm charming
but it's just because I'm usually quite interested in other people
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:24, Reply)
*Makes notes*
Pretend to be interested in other people = Charming.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:29, Reply)
I don't pretend :)
I like other people usually and am interested so they respond well to me in general.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:33, Reply)
What a nice trait to have!
Whilst I'm not sure I'd score highly on the 'charm' league-table, I'm holding my own on the 'nice guy' points board.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:35, Reply)
haha it'd better get me a job
or what a waste.

And indeed you are holding your own :) also a great trait to have
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:36, Reply)
Nice doesn't cost anything.
Being interested in the dullards of the world is a struggle.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:44, Reply)
You should take notes from me Jeff.
I am the suavest motherfucker on OT.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:37, Reply)
Give me some tips young man.
Please. PLEASE.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:43, Reply)
Cufflinks. Cigars.
Raising one eyebrow. Knowing the rules of how to wear a tie. Taste in cologne.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:45, Reply)
I always wear cufflinks with a shirt
(Unless it's a casual shirt, obviously).

And I usually go with a full windsor with my ties. What am I doing wrong?
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:47, Reply)
Fucking dogs.
And full windsor with a spread collar only.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:48, Reply)
Is fucking dogs a charming thing or not?
Do you suggest the half-windsor? Or some other knot?
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:49, Reply)
With a spread collar (I always wear spread collars) full windsor.

(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:53, Reply)
And with other shirts?
(Although to be fair, all of my shirts are spread collars)
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:55, Reply)
Other shirts?
Mine are all spread collars.

Spread collars get chicks moist.

And try wearing some Man by Comme Des Garcons. Works a treat, very autumnal.

In summer, Issey Miyake gets the chicks foaming with anticipation.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:57, Reply)
I think the main problem might be the dog fucking.
I tend to go for Lacoste red, it's nice and fresh.

How important are the cigars?
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:59, Reply)
Lacoste Red?
How vulgar.

That explains the dog fucking then.
(, Mon 1 Nov 2010, 23:59, Reply)
What's wrong with it?

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:00, Reply)
It makes one smell like a fucker of dogs.
Get some Comme Des Garcons.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:02, Reply)
Cum the girls?
What is the translation of that?
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:06, Reply)
Like boys.
Not as gay as it sounds.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:07, Reply)
Should I still cease to be charming
I'll keep this in mind.
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:08, Reply)
Good chap.

(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:09, Reply)
but close
though Issey Miyake is indeed nice in general. Paul Smith isn't bad either
(, Tue 2 Nov 2010, 0:09, Reply)
Can we all move future replies to the bottom of the page?
It's getting tricky.

What's for breakfast tomorrow Amberl?
