Quite a few different types, both purely decorative and toiletries.
As I work for a contract manufacturer, we make everything from the big names to cheap rubbish; the complexity of the formulations and the difference in quality is similarly variable, but the difference in manufacturing cost is nowhere near as great as the difference in retail price.

I begrudge paying money
for cosmetics in general. But I generally find the variation in certain products enough to justify the extra money
