not with my dog
guess it's time to really make a change, maybe I can go back packing across europe
do they sell eukanuba dog food there?

That's a shame.
Have you spoken to your landlord yet to discuss this, or are you only able to go on the word of a mutual friend?

just going to wait it out, start saving some money, be prepared in case it happens
it just really fucking sucks because it's christmas coming up soon and it will be hard to save up
plus the rent on most places I've seen is twice what I pay now
and I don't want to get rid of my dog :'((((

yeah, but you can't bring your dog to the UK.
Rabies and that.
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 14:14, Reply)
Yeah, they'd never think of doing quarantine and rabies shots. Crazy idea. Not the best if you're going to be travelling though anyway as she'd cost you a fortune K

6 months quarantine
would rather fuck up a backpacking holiday, no?
(, Mon 22 Nov 2010, 14:21, Reply)
Probably not as much as having to find a certified vet everytime you go to a different country in europe and having to give the correct flea and worm products, possibly overdosing the animal if you do it over several days as well.
Quarantine can be done before you go, some states allow home quarantine as well. Still damn expensive though.

If you definitely can't stay in your current place, how about asking new landlord if you can keep Echo, but agree that you'll pay for any damage - have photographic evidence before you move in - and you'll have the carpets professionally cleaned when you
move out? Gotta be worth a try? Or make current landlord a tasty cake and tell her you're staying and so is echo.

I actually bought a bloody carpet cleaner for current abode, am trying to make arrangements to repair a step
she and the other dog tore up outside, and have offered to replace the carpet in the living room.

I can definitely understand where she's had to deal with a lot with the dogs and such, but to be fair, I've done more help than damage and it seems the other tennant is content to tear the place up.

I'm just thinking if she wants an excuse to get rid of you or if new landlord wants an excuse to not take you on then it'd most likely be because of her.
It's good that you've preempted this stuff already though. How about going down the cake/bacon route until she's in a better mood? The other tenant sounds like a bit of a twat tbh

she really really is, it feels like I'm being punished for her lack of responsibility
but oh well, life goes on
I'll do what I have to, and it'll probably be better in the long run anyway
