The second series of Partridge is a masterpiece.
The man is a total cunt* and he is nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is (also his desecration of one of my favourite boyhood books, 'Around the World in 80 Days' alone merits maiming), but those few episodes are untrammelled genius.

I don't agree, I think he is a very good comic actor.
The fact he didn't write everything doesn't take away from that.

Sorry, I thought you were just referring to his writing.
I've no qualms about him as an actor, I just think most of the best stuff he's starred in benefitted an awful lot from Ianucci or Morris' writing.
