I flicked through a rubbish magazine
once. Take a Break or something. In it there was a woman who was magnetic and attracted small pieces of metal. When she was upset and stressed it got worse and tills/lights/electric doors would stop functioning around her

I know there's a family somewhere
that emit some sort of weird radiation that fucks up electrical stuff, similarly when they get stressed, lights flicker and things turn off and on and stuff. Might be bollocks, mind...
