The gender isn't the issue. A girl gets treated like shit by a bloke enough times, they're going to become bitter and start throwing some arsey behaviour back. Switch the words 'girl' and 'bloke' in that last sentence and it's just as true.
It's either the type of place you go to, the type of girl you're attracted to or how you behave to them. It's glib but the one constant in all your failed relationships is you. Try going for someone who you don't consider your type and see how it goes. What's the worst that could happen? Actually, don't answer that - you never do things by halves.
