trying to persuade my mrs to come. It is more likely that she will either drop me off and go to Ikea, or not come at all, in which case I will get hopelessly lost driving into Bristol and not make it to the bash.

I didn't even think that would get seen as an excuse.
Last two times I drove into Bristol on my own I got lost and it took me like an hour and a half to get where I was going.
I will be trying not to let this happen again.

to not be able to find the gloucester road (where the pub is). If you get hideously lost I can meet you in the centre of Bristol/give you directions (or indeed so can CHCB as she lives there but I will probably be more sober than she is)

My lecturer today saw me cringing in the creative development session and made me sit at the front and answer questions that would make me feel better about myself. I wanted to cut her eyes out it was so excruciatingly awful.

Of all the things we are, 'too cool' isn't it.

Clearly, I'm way too cool for such social events, I was just implying you are too much of spacker to be accepted by these people.
