Down's is caused by a failure of the 21st chromosome to separate during egg OR sperm development. Most cases of nonseparation of the chromosomes occur in the egg, but some (about 1/10) occur in the sperm of the father.
I suggest that your grasp of biology is not as good as you would like to believe.
