Americans
.
Not all of them, just the ones that think they won the Second World War by themselves.
Listen. You were late. Very fucking late. In fact, Churchill was ringing the bell for last orders before you decided to put in an appearance.
And the only thing you charged in the First World War was interest on the money you loaned us.
Cheers

Americans
It does not really matter, I live in Holland and if you ask a Dutch person who won they say England, who got the Germans out of their country ...England. The only place where this is not true is in the movies and games.
Don't forget that the Americans actually think they won !!! they also think that god exists and Adam and Eve are the real deal so don't lose any sleep on this mate !

I was about to have a good anti Yank rant.
You Sir have summed it up. Nice one.

I'm glad I'm not the only one...
...a friend was telling me that, when wandering round the American capital, he came across a war memorial attributed to "all the people who gave their lives in the Second World War, 1941-1945."
Um...so, when Hitler marched into Poland* in '39**, did that not count as an act of war? Or is it only allowed to be a proper war when you trigger-happy rednecks get involved?
*Well, with an army, obviously. He wouldn't have got quite so far by himself...
**At least, I think that's the order in which it happened. Apologies if more historically inaccurate than that Yank film about the Enigma codebreakers...

To be fair....
regarding 1941-1945 the Japanese did kind of start a little something off that those dates are relevant to. I know that Hollywood these days does dress America up somewhat but they were dragged in a bit whether they liked it or not.
Edit. just noticed War!! and my sig. Equally useful for the same thing.

Thank you...
...for stating the *specific* sort of Americans that annoy you.
People making sweeping generalizations about people/places/things they clearly know very little - or nothing - about is my biggest pet peeve.

Gah
I've been playing Medal of Honour Heroes on my PSP - quite a fun little FPS and who doesn't like shooting Germans?
But it really fucks me off that every time you appear, the Germans shout "Americans!" and when they kill one of your troops they shout "Another dead American!" (in English, helpfully)
There are no Brits in the entire game. Tossers.
