People who say "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less".
Don't they understand the meaning of the words coming out of their mouths? Don't they know that "I couldn't care less" means that they care so little, that it's impossible to care any less than they do now, while "I could care less" is just nonsense?
I notice that it's mainly Americans that are guilty of this.

As an American, I've noticed my countrymen don't understand the subtle (huge) difference between could care less, I care, and couldn't care less, I care so little that every Care Bear's Care Bear Stare is useless on me.
I think this is really symptomatic of American schools insisting that rote memorization and recall is intelligence. You wind up with a country full of parrot morons repeating useless drivel.
However, its still the greatest country on earth. I promise.
