How did I forget?
Mobile phones. Now, don't get me wrong, back in the day they were awesome, now however they insist on trying to be everything but a fucking phone. Mobile phone companies seem to be trying their damned hardest to give their new phones all the best extras, cameras, video recorders, mp3 players etc etc, but honestly, actually making a phone call on the things are impossible due to the fact that signal is so utterly wank. The best phone I've had for phone quality was my 3310, I would go back to it but I dropped it in a bucket of sick after drinking a bottle and 3 quarters of wine.

The 3310 was a very good phone. Although I do find it annoying that a lot of the phones out there just aren't up to scratch. For me, the perfect phone is the W810i. Especially when you bung in a 4gb memory card.

I'm afraid I have to disagree
I can categorically, hand on heart, say that my mobile phone has changed my life.

I'm a doctor so I have all of my clinics and meetings in the calendar. If I'm in the pub and friends want to arrange a party or dinner - no problem - I have my diary right with me on my phone.

I've been ordered to go shopping by my girlfriend. I'm not sure I'm buying the right thing so I take a photo of it, send it to gf's phone. Problem solved.

Bored on the tube/bus/waiting room? I have chess, poker and an MP3 player on my phone.

I also work in the music industry. I'm on the train to the recording studio (takes a couple of hours) and my producer can send works in progress via email which I can play before emailing my opinions back to him.

Bored of the games? Piss around on the internet for a while.

My mobile phone rocks. (I feel the need to add that it's not an iphone).

It's an HTC touch dual.
Embarrasingly, it's not so hot as a phone. There's this bizarre 3 second delay after physically hanging up before the line actually hangs. Just enough time for the person you've spoken to to hear you saying, "That guy's a total..."
